Aztec Technology pursues cosmetics packaging merger

Aztec Technology announced today that the packaging firm is in merger negotiations with a European cosmetics and wellness company.

A specialist in folding cartons, Aztec Technology serves a number of industries including cosmetics and is now looking to expand its position in the beauty industry and target the European market.

Potential in the cosmetics market

“Aztec Technology sees a great potential in the health and beauty market, and we look forward to bringing our innovations into the European marketplace,”​ said Keith Roberts, Aztec Technology’s interim president.

Washington-based Aztec Technology gave no further details about the merger talks except to say that the “arrangement offers tremendous benefits for both organizations”​.

Meanwhile the firm is not ruling out other suitable candidates and is currently in discussions with a North American bio tech company.

Nobody was able to comment on the merger and acquisition plans before publication but Aztec Technology said in a statement that further details will be published as they become available.

Aztec Technology offers a range of packaging and finishing products and services to largely North American-based cosmetics companies.

Its products including specialty finishes, lamination, stamping, embossing, reticulation, matte, gloss UV varnishes and mold inhibiting protective coating.
