Cosmederm Technologies has signed a distribution agreement with
Health Sciences to market its anti-aging and anti-itch products in
the Asia Pacific region.

The California-based company is expanding into the fast-growing Asian market with its skin care products that sit on the border between cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Anti-itching potential Hong Kong-based Health Sciences is particularly enthusiastic about the potential of the TriCalm anti-itch products, which may be used to relieve itching, burning and stinging. "The anti-itch product line is especially compelling because skin itch conditions are common among Asian communities and currently there are no available products that match TriCalm's efficacy," said Health Sciences chairman LB Saw. Local knowledge Health Sciences will be applying this intimate knowledge of the Asian health care market to successfully market Cosmederm's skin care products. Aside from its TriCalm range, the company is taking two anti-aging lines to Asia. Anti-aging ranges The first is a peel containing 50 percent glycolic acid called Refinity Skin Solutions and the second is Cosmederm Skin Science, a line of topical skin care products made with 10 percent lactic acid. These products will be followed by other skin care lines for which Health Sciences will serve as a product launch portal. Pending approval from foreign regulators, the companies expect that Cosmederm Technologies' products will be distributed in over 30 Asian countries over the course of the next few years.
