Janson Beckett launches natural lip plumper

Cosmeceuticals has launched BeautiFull Lips, a lip plumper claimed
to provide both cosmetic and rejuviantive properties.
Designed to last for one month and costing under $40, the product is said to offer a considerably easier and less expensive solution to collagen injections, a procedure that has gained massively in popularity in recent years, but is also not without certain risks such as adverse reactions.
Janson Beckett is aiming to tap into a significant growth market born off the back of the desire for increasingly functional but natural cosmetics products. The company, which also markets its 'Botox alternative' AlphaDerma CE, is riding market that is currently valued at $4.2bn and is predicted to experience double-digit growth up to 2009, according to the Freedonia Group.
Although there are a number of cosmetic products on the market that claim to have lip plumping properties, Janson Beckett's latest launch relies on a combination of natural extracts and cosmeceutical ingredients to provide a product that is claimed to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.
And the secret ingredient to achieving that fuller pout? The company says that it is Methyl nicitinate. This is a vasodilator and is said to plump the lips by stimulating blood flow.
The product also contains SepiLift, a multi-function moisturizing agent, that smoothes lip creases and stimulates collagen; while Shea butter - a natural moisturizer and emollient - along with Vitamin E, an excellent antioxidant, are used to moisten lips and protect against environmental damage.
Cetearyl Glucoside, an emulsifier, helps lips to retain natural moisture and imparts a velvety texture, while Argireline, the primary hexapeptide used across many products in Janson Beckett's anti-aging skin care line, aids with lip smoothing and plumping.
"Most lip plumpers are not formulated to treat lips or help promote healthier lip condition," noted Ian Strassler, president of Janson Beckett.
"BeautiFull Lips is an extension of our cosmeceutical approach; it delivers cumulative, transforming skin care benefits rather than just a momentary cosmetic fix."
A number of other, natural alternatives to lip plumping have also been launched on the market recently. One particular ingredient that has also become popular for this effect has been Hyaluronic Acid (HA).
As well as providing plumping properties for lips, it has also proved to be an effective anti-aging ingredient due to its higly effective moisturizing properties.
One product that has risen to prominence of the strength of this ingredient is City Lips by City Lips Cosmetics. It apparently stimulates the lips into producing its own HA and collagen, which in turn is said to leave lips looking fuller, without resorting to injections.
