RPC launches new cosmetics packaging range

RPC Bramlage-Wiko has expanded its standard range of containers for
personal care and beauty products with the launch of the new
Diamond series, aimed at combining low cost with functionality and
high-end styling, writes Simon Pitman.

Developed by the company's newly formed Creative Design Department, the new line has been developed in an attempt to provide a bespoke solution, without having to pay the usually higher price associated with this type of packaging.

The series consists of two types of crème dispenser and a multi-functional crème jar. Designed with a curves throughout, the range has been developed to give an eye-catching brand identity across a family of products.

The crème jar's has an interchangeable design that comprises a standard lid compatible with three distinct base types. There is then a choice between a thin-walled, thick-walled or double-walled (incorporating an inner and outer jar) varieties to suit specific requirements, in sizes from 5ml to 350ml.

The dispensers incorporate an innovative patented pump system, which the company says has been developed for user convenience and ease of filling.

All Diamond containers can be enhanced using RPC's range of in-house decoration options, including screen printing, embossing, labelling and sleeves.

"The Diamond series reflects the need for visually striking packs that nevertheless perform to the highest standard,"​ comments Alfons Böckmann of RPC Bramlage-Wiko​.

RPC's Kutenholz division has also recently developed an updated packaging for the top-selling Nivea Visage brand, produced by German manufacturer Beiersdorf. The line consisists of a variety of lotions, gels and other products and the packaging has been updated in order to enhance its image in the marketplace. As part of the relaunch, RPC Kutenholz has contributed the packaging for two sizes within the range, the 200ml and handy 25ml versions, for travelling.

Developed jointly between Beiersdorf and RPC Kutenholz, the bottle has a glossy finish, is blow moulded in random PP and features again features a curved shape, that has been developed to match the design of the cap.
