UK retailer Tesco has relaunched its leading skin care range, Skin
Wisdom, with updated packaging design to clearly define the
different categories in the range, as well as a number of new
product launches, reports Simon Pitman.

Launched four years ago and created exclusively for Tesco by Bharti Vyas, the range has also been reformulated with complexion enhancing ingredients to provide five clearly defined colour coded sub-ranges, which includes two new anti-ageing lines.

Tesco says that each product now lists the two key ingredients ant the their benefits on both the front and back of the package, making it easier for consumer to tailor a skin care programme according to their own individual needs.

The complete range consists of the Daily Care line of cleansers, toners and moisturers in green packaging; the new Age Delay line of three vitamin C enriched anti-ageing products packaged in orange; the new Age Reverse line of four products aimed at fighting visible signs of ageing and packaged in purple; the newly packaged Benefits line consisting of eight cosmetic/skincare products packaged in red and the Body Care range of nine products to treat the body, hands and lips in blue packaging.

Tesco says that the aim of the product line is to continue with the basic principles of premium quality holistic skincare at exceptional value for money. This is combined with Bharti Vyas's experience in cosmetics formulation, which brings ayurvedic ingredients and formualations.

On top of the new anti-ageing lines, Tesco has also added six entirely new products to the existing ranges. These include Body Slim Anti-cellulite Gel, which as part of the Body Care range, contains Co-Enzyme A to reduce cellulite and Guarana and caffeine to help break down fatty desposits.

As part of the Daily Care range, the company has also added De-Stress Night Cream, which contains Calendula to sooth the skin as well as fruit acids combined with Ayurvedic ingredients such as chamomile, green tea and oat milk aimed at promoting calmness.

The new Age Delay range consists of Revitalising Moisturiser, which complains an anti-ageing complex to fight fine lines as well as an SPF 12; as well as Radiance Boosting Serum capsules and Rejuvenating Night Cream.
