Crown supplies caps and collars for Liz Clairborne fragrance
personal care industry, has supplied the caps and collars for the
new Liz Claiborne Spark Seduction EDP and EDT fragrance packages.
The company, which is a division of global packaging giant Crown Holdings, has started manufacturing Surlyn caps and decorative metal collars for the EDT products' 15-ml size for men and women, as well as the cap and decorative collar for 15-ml EDP scent for women. On top of that it also produces the decorative collar for the 100-ml EDT retail spray for women.
For the 15-ml EDT packages, the clear, injection-moulded Surlyn caps come in a distinctive, round shape with a signature burgundy-coloured dot Pad printed on the cap top. For both the EDT and EDP packages, the metal collars are anodised in matte gold and are oval-shaped to conform to the bottles' shoulder-contoured profile. The15-ml EDP product for women comes without the signature burgundy dot.
The Spark Seduction caps are produced at the company's Middletown, New York, facility; while the collars are made at the its Watertown, Connecticut, location. The company currently manufactures a complete line of packaging components including fragrance and cosmetics caps and closures, eyes care products, lipsticks and lip gloss.
Likewise, UK-based packaging provider Rexam has supplied a range of crimpless pumps for the fragrance line. The company provided a low profile pump together with a super low profile pump for the smaller bottles.
Liz Claiborne has chosen Sex In The City star Kim Cattrall to promote both the new men's and women's fragrance line in the US as part of a major launch campaign. The Golden Globe award actress was chosen because of her attitude, which exudes power, sensuality and attractiveness.
The company, which is known in the US for its clothing lines, reported record sales of $1.32 billion, up by 11.3 per cent on the corresponding quarter the previous year and is expecting full year sales results to be around 10 per cent higher than last year.
