CTFA focuses on regulatory and legislative issues
its annual Regional Meeting in California, US. The one-day seminar
will feature information sessions focusing on regulatory,
international, legislative, and scientific issues affecting the
personal care products industry.
CTFA members and nonmembers will express their opinions on technical and regulatory issues. Senior CTFA staff will be on hand to discuss and answer questions on a variety of industry issues including international, environmental, fragrance, and ingredient safety issues, as well as update attendees on Food and Drug Administration (FDA) activities.
Held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, the business sessions are scheduled from 9:30 am to noon and from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. A reception will close the afternoon, allowing attendees to have their questions answered by CTFA staff on a more informal basis.
The lunch session will feature Herb Wesson, speaker emeritus of the California State Assembly, who will discuss the role the personal care industry currently plays, both in the US and internatiionally. Wesson served as Speaker from February 2002 until February 2004. Wesson has been involved in a number of social projects focusing on the vulnerable, and has pushed for the passage of critical bond measures to construct schools and housing.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Wesson was first elected in 1998 to represent the 47th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Los Angeles and Culver City, as well other communities.
Registration is $195.00 for CTFA members and $275.00 for non-members.
CTFA is the national trade association representing the cosmetic, toiletry, and fragrance industry. Founded in 1894, CTFA has an active membership of approximately 275 companies that manufacture or distribute the vast majority of finished personal care products marketed in the United States. CTFA also includes approximately 275 associate member companies, including manufacturers of raw materials, trade and consumer magazines, and other related industries.
