Donald Trump signs up to promote Aramis

International media have focused in on Donald Trumps agreement to
become the 'spokesperson' for a new perfume to be launched by Estee
Lauder's Aramis and Designer Fragrances. Although some mind find it
an odd match, the company says that Trump is an icon of the
American businessmen, which in turn is expected to boost both the
image and sales of the division.

Called Donald Trump, The Fragrance, it is slated for an exclusive US launch in mid-November at Federated Department Stores. Estee Lauder refused to disclose how much Trump had been paid to promote the fragrance.

Speaking about the agreement, William P. Lauder, Estee Lauder CEO, said: "We feel that Mr. Trump and Aramis are a winning combination of two global brands."

Trump has been in the constant media spotlight for over two decades now, attracting attention for his business activities and currently for a reality television show being aired on American television.

Fabrice Weber, President of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, which markets leading scents such as Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan and Kiton, said that the new scent would offer a 'taste of luxury' that consumers would associate with Trump's glamorous lifestyle.

Donald Trump, The Fragrance, will be available in a 100ml/3.4 oz bottle for the suggested retail price of $60.00 (€48.70) beginning in mid-November.
