Church & Dwight completes acquisition of Armkel

Owners of the Arm & Hammer brand name Church & Dwight has
reported that it has completed the previously announced purchase of
the remaining 50 per cent of Armkel that it did not previously own.

Church & Dwight has completed the purchase of Armkel for a price of US$254 million (€208 m), from private equity group Kelso & Company. Church & Dwight said that financing for the deal had been arranged through a group of banks led by JPMorgan and Citigroup.

"Completion of the purchase is another step in our long-term strategy to build businesses around brands that are leaders in their markets,"​ said Church & Dwight's chairman and chief executive officer Robert Davies.

Church & Dwight manufactures and markets a wide range of personal care, household and speciality products, under the Arm & Hammer brand name and other well-known trademarks.
