As the domestic manufacturing of cosmetics and household goods in
Russia continues to offer significant growth potential, a new
exhibition in Moscow this coming September will focus on
formulation. The organisers of this first time event have already
booked a considerable chunk of European players.

As the domestic manufacturing of cosmetics and household goods in Russia continues to offer significant growth potential, a new exhibition in Moscow this coming September will focus on formulation.

Organised by UK company Step Exhibitions in conjunction with the Polish society of Cosmetic chemists the event, CHI, will take place on 2 - 4 September and expects around 100 exhibitors including European players National Starch, BASF and Roche Vitamins Europe.

Since 1999, Russia has experienced a boom in the domestic manufacturing of cosmetics and household goods. This has in turn led to an increase in the market share of domestic products.

According to the exhibition​ organisers, over 200 manufacturing companies are based in and around the Moscow area and many manufacturers of raw materials are reporting that their business has increased fourfold over the last five years.

A conference will run in parallel to the exhibition, speakers include Dr W Fabianowski from Warsaw university of Technology, Dr Michael Pletnev from Chemithon corporation., USA and Axel Jentsch from BASF.
