Sephora gains Polish ground
its association with Poland's Empik in a bid to confirm its
leadership position in Poland.
LVMH-owned fragrance retail chain Sephora has announced its association with Poland's Empik in a bid to confirm its leadership position in Poland.
Empik, the oldest selective perfume retail chain in Poland, is contributing its selective perfume activity, including nine shops, to Sephora's Polish subsidiary in exchange for a minority stake in the capital of Sephora Polska.
Sephora will then have at its disposal a network of 40 shops in Poland.
Sephora, capitalising on its success, says the move completes its geographical presence in Poland, principally in major town-centres, benefiting from the strong brand image of Empik.
Sephora Europe thus confirms its wish to develop its activities in a selective manner in markets with strong potential.
