The Dow Chemical company has launched a new Dipropylene Glycol LO+ (DPG LO+) product designed specifically for use in fragrance and cosmetic applications.

According to a statement from the company, Dow's DPG LO+ offers customers the benefit of one global product that meets European-wide quality and test requirements.

"Dow's DPG LO+ product offering ensures quality and consistency for fragrance and cosmetic applications on a global basis," said Antulio Borneo, marketing executive for the Americas for Dow's Propylene Oxide/Propylene Glycol business.

DPG LO+ features 99.5 per cent purity and a specified isomer distribution to ensure consistency. It is manufactured in accordance with strict Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, and with uniform global sales specifications and certificates of analysis.

"Today many fragrance and personal care companies operate globally. The ability to purchase DPG LO+ anywhere in the world presents an advantage for these companies in terms of quality, consistency and the time and cost to qualify new products,"added Borneo.
