NYC’s Javits Center to host 2 major beauty industry tradeshows in 2017

As anyone who’s endeavored to put on a large-scale event in New York City can attest, space is at a premium. And in an industry like beauty where aesthetics and production values speak volumes, it can be even more difficult to secure an adequate venue.

Suppliers Day​

For years now the NYSCC has held its annual tradeshow at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison, New Jersey. But the event has outgrown that space, relegating overflow exhibitors to a tented area adjacent to the exhibition facility. And, many companies found travel to and from the venue unwieldy and the town itself a difficult area to entertain clients.

“Boasting the highest attended cosmetics ingredient event on the East Coast, Suppliers’ Day 2017 has solidified their positioning with the move to the Javits Convention Center in the heart of the global beauty and fashion community,” ​claims the NYSCC site.

The 2017 edition of NYSCC Suppliers Day will take place on May 2 and 3.

2016 was the first year that in-cosmetics held its global cosmetics ingredient event in North America​. That show took place at Pier 36, a two-floor event space with views of the East River. For the second edition of in-cosmetics NA, organizers have chosen the Javits Center.

In a closing note to this year’s event, the in-cosmetics site reads, “it was a privilege to host the region’s most influential cosmetic manufacturers, 160 exhibitors and partners and we hope you all found the show beneficial from both a sourcing and educational perspective.”​

The quick statement mentions the new location too: “We are very excited about the second in-cosmetics North America event that will move to the Javits Center.”​

in-cosmetics NA 2017 will be held on October 11 and 12.
