The seventh annual awards highlighted some of the most innovative products to hit the market, products that focused on technologically advanced formulation, ground-breaking concepts and the very latest in packaging design.
There were 14 prize winners, each defining a particularly outstanding idea in categories that ranged from best overall finished product in individual categories such as skin care, fragrance and color cosmetics, as well as best packaging for four individual categories as well as best marketing and ad campaigns.
This year’s dinner and awards, which was held at the Manhattan Penthouse on 5th Avenue, was hosted by ICMAD CEO and president Pam Busiek, together with the organization’s president Ian Ginsberg.
There was also a very interesting presentation by Janet Gurwitch, who took a riveted room packed with ICMAD members on her personal career journey, which included her founding the highly successful Laura Mercier Cosmetics company.
