Cosmetics Design is extending its coverage of the global cosmetics and personal care industry to the Asia Pacific region with the launch of its first ever Cosmetics Design Asia newsletter in the first week of September.

Building on the coverage from the existing Cosmetic Design USA and Cosmetic Design Europe websites, the Asia Pacific dedicated site will ensure that the brand now has total global coverage of the industry.

Targeting packaging and formulation decision makers, together with executives in the finished goods arena, the new website will  be based on the same navigational and news category structure, with some adaptations specific to the market news coverage.

The first newsletter and homepage are due to be published on September 4th, which will be the start of a regular service incorporating two newsletters every week service, sent to a subscriber database of cosmetics professionals with vested interests in the Asia Pacific cosmetics industry.

Focus on the challenges concerning market entry

The English-language articles will focus on providing information about global cosmetic players targeting the industry in the region, providing information about the challenges that businesses have in establishing and expanding there.

In particular it will focus on safety and regulatory issues, which is one of the biggest stumbling blocks to market entry, particularly into the larger and more lucrative markets such as India, China and Japan.

Likewise, the website will also provide information about domestic players in the different market, focusing on research and development, innovations and expansion plans into new markets throughout the region, as well as worldwide.

Country tabs to flag up specific market news coverage

New to the site will be country tabs, which will flag up and identify news all the major markets in the region, including India, China Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Oceania.

The news coverage has also been fine tuned to reflect the industry trends that are specific to the region, with specific radar categories being devoted to issues such as skin whitening, market entry and beauty from within.

The editorial team will be turning to its extensive network of contacts in the industry, including market researchers, all the big global cosmetics players, together with key contacts in the region to provide cutting edge news for the subscriber base.

If you would like to include news or information about your business activities within the Asia Pacific region, please use the contact ‘contact the editor’ function at the bottom of this page to reach out to us.
