Mobile storefront offers brand exposure

Estée Lauder has partnered with mobile entertainment site Myxer to create a web and mobile storefront through which consumers can send gift ideas to friends and family during the holiday season.

The ‘Wish List Sender’ storefront allows users to send product images of the brands’ fragrance, skincare and make-up products to mobile phones.

Not only can consumers have access to research and shopping via mobile, but brands gain “a powerful new mechanism to reach both loyalists and consumers at large, regardless of platform or device,”​ according to Myk Willis, CEO of Myxer.

Deloitte’s 24th Annual Holiday Survey of retail spending and trends revealed that one in five consumers intend to use the mobile channel for holiday shopping, with 25 percent of those customers planning to use a mobile phone to make a purchase.
