Ingredients firm Lucas Meyer Cosmetics has introduced a new peptide that aims to tap into consumer desire to ‘futureproof’ their skin from the effects of ageing.
The peptides, isolated through predictive artificial intelligence (AI), were shown to increase key protein structures when topically applied to skin and demonstrate the potential to eliminate wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Researchers at Penn State University have discovered that synthetic imitations of the sort polypeptides found in squid ring teeth have uniquely desirable qualities and have filed a patent for the new technology.
