Beauty major L'Oréal has launched its YSL perfume Libre after eight years in development, marking part of a flurry of fragrance innovation that it hopes will spruce up Western Europe growth.
Perfume, parfum, eau de toilette, cologne, body spray, essential oils—all of these are coming into conversation with the natural beauty movement. And earlier in the fragrance supply chain natural sourcing initiatives are getting very interesting.
The design apparel brand owner has signed an agreement with Gemini
Cosmetics that will see it market and distribute fragrances for men
and women under the PVH IZOD brand.
Upmarket beauty player Clarins has received a €500,000 fine from
the French Conseil de la Concurrence (Competition Council) after
being found guilty of price-fixing between 1997 and 2007.
P&G has confirmed that it will start producing fine fragrances
for Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana in an effort to
muscle in on the global market, where it is currently the second
largest player.
