Neopac opens US headquarters and manufacturing
The Switzerland-based company says it will build a new high-tech facility for the production of Polyfoil tubes at the Wilson Corporate Park, incorporating a programme to work with local government and education providers to train and educate the new work force.
The move will create the company’s first ever US-based entity and aims to increase its footprint in what is still by far the largest market for cosmetics and personal care products in the world.
Neopac works with state authorities
Neopac executives have worked closely with the State of North Carolina to realise the project, which has been welcomed by North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper.
“We are working hard to bring well-paying, fulfilling jobs to people in North Carolina,” said Governor Cooper.
“Neopac is an example of the kind of company we want here in North Carolina – they are bringing quality, well-paying jobs and they’re ready to help train people to fill them.”
Neopac builds on existing US operation
The Neopac US operations was conceived in 2011, when Neopace US was first incorporated in Delaware as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hoffman Neopace AG, the Switzerland-based head operation.
In the US, the company is focused on supplying its range of tube packaging to the pharmaceutical and cosmetics and personal care sectors, but with the introduction of the new facility its US production capacity will reach 80 million tubes per year, with room for further expansion.
