Yesterday at the SCC Suppliers’ Day tradeshow in Long Beach, California, Miriam Vareldzis introduced 5 new 100% natural fragrance accords to her company’s portfolio. The new scents bring the Palette Naturals collection up to 19 plant-based perfumery accords, ready-made to help personal care and beauty makers formulate naturally scented products in a whole new way.

“Palette Naturals is a line of 100% natural perfumery blending accords. And what that means is that we are creating a line of accords that people can use as the building blocks of natural perfumery,” explains Miriam Vareldzis, founder and creative director of Palette Naturals.

Vareldzis launched Palette Naturals in 2017 with a collection of accords that are not only natural—with the ISO 9235 standard—but that also make transparent fragrance ingredient lists a reality. “A transparent ingredient list is available for every one of the accords on the website…and that gives a formulator (my client) the ability to see the ingredients and to be transparent with their customer,” Vareldzis tells Cosmetics Design. And it’s a strategy that’s also helping cosmetic chemists makes more informed formulation choices.

Importantly in today’s industry, with a proliferation of indie brands and personal care startups, there is no minimum order required for the Palette Naturals accords. “This gives beauty entrepreneurs, labs, and others interested in natural raw materials the ability to use these formulations from the get-go,” acknowledges Vareldzis.
