Australian clean beauty brand BondiChic sees market opportunity in vegan formulations and anti-pollution products for kids

At this year’s Cosmoprof North America event in Las Vegas, Nevada, Cosmetics Design spoke with BondiChic Founder and Director Jinee Jung about the concepts and considerations behind the growing brand.

Being ‘vegan’ wasn’t initially a consideration for Jinee Jung, founder and director of BondiChic; she was focused squarely on the ‘clean beauty’ angle but has since leveraged the appeal of vegan beauty in both Australia and the US to buoy BondiChic in the marketplace.

The concept of A-beauty (that is Australian beauty in general) she says is “simple yet effective.” And Jung equates the simplicity of a vegan lifestyle and diet with that concept of beauty to explain why vegan personal care appeals to consumers today.

“As I researched more and more about clean beauty and non-toxic beauty, I think it’s better to be a vegan [brand]…because it’s a little bit better for my body, for my skin, like a diet,” Jung tells Cosmetics Design.
