Yubi Beauty: because there’s more than one way apply makeup
“Why are we using tools that were never designed for self-application? That complicate things?” asks Adiya Dixon Wiggins, founder and president at Yubi Beauty. Though now it’s something of a rhetorical question because what’s she has invented is alternative to conventional long-handled brushes.
The Yubi Beauty buff and blend system is a sophisticated and practical redesign of something most makeup wearers take for granted. But it’s more than just a makeup brush. Yubi can be used to apply complexion products, color cosmetics, skin care, and sun care.
“When a woman takes that same tool [a paint-brush like makeup brush] and turns it to her own face for self-application, that’s when things start to go wonky,” says Dixon Wiggins. “The ergonomics are all off and that means that you’re using too much pressure (often). It means that you’re uncomfortable and you’re lacking in confidence. And, the results are less than stellar.”
In short, “Yubi is a cosmetic system designed to speed up and simplify the beauty routine for busy people everywhere,” according to Dixon Wiggins.
