Alkaglam mineral spray puts skin care chemistry in consumers’ hands

Indie brand founder Michelle Vidal patented her spray technology after years of researching the composition of thermal springs around with world and testing canned facial mists already on the market. At last week’s IBE New York event, Cosmetics Design spoke with Vidal about the newly launched Alkaglam mineral spray.

Consumers’ expectations shift every time they discover a better mousetrap, figuratively speaking. And it’s likely the Alkaglam mineral spray will change the way consumer think about skin care ingredient delivery and potency.

The spray is a just-add-water skin care product comprised of mineral and vitamin beads made of Tourmaline, Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Vitamin C, etc. The skin care benefits mimic those of spring water from Lourdes, France. (Cosmetics Design predicted that just-add-water beauty products would be “all the rage” this year in our trend video posted in early December 2017.)

“This acts like a strainer,” says Michelle Vidal, CEO of Alkaglam, explaining her invention in rudimentary terms. “I recreated a thermal hot spring with mineral beads,” adds Vidal, noting that the beads in her stylish beauty water filtering device “dissolve within a year.”
