PPC packaging conference to clue in on key industry trends

The Paperboard Packaging Council is to hold the 2013 Outlook & Strategy Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, featuring key note speakers who will highlight the most pressing industry trends.

To be held April 3 – 5, the event will feature committee meetings on sustainability, industry bench marking, as well as marking and communications on the first day, followed by a full two-day conference program on the 4th and 5th.

Keynote speakers lead the conference program

“Our keynote speakers this year have been chosen for their extraordinary insights and for their ability to inspire executives,” said President of PPC Ben Markens.

“Their remarkable knowledge of business cycle trends, innovative leadership strategy, and global economic patterns will be just the antidote our attendees need for in these hazy financial times.” 

For the two days of conference presentations, the organizers have already secured three keynote speakers, who will present on topics as diverse as maintaining business momentum during the downturn and honing corporate culture.

Three keynote speakers

One of the keynote speakers is Alain Beaulieu, who is a celebrated economist from the Institute of Trend Research. He will discuss how latest global trends are affecting the packaging industry in the face of the economic situation.

Another key speaker will be Robert Chapman, CEO of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, who will discuss the current crisis in corporate leadership and how to get round it by fostering a healthy corporate culture.

The third keynote speaker is Jim Carroll, who is an expert on business trends during economic upheavel and has worked with organizations including the BBC, PGA and Disney. His presentation will give guidance on how to position a business for success during a recession.
