The date is set for May 15th and 16th, at the same venue as the last few years, the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion, on 18th Street, in the Gramercy and Flat Iron district, and this year an estimated 150 exhibitors are expected to take up stands.
Over the years the event has evolved from being niche to serving the luxury end of the market into what the event organizer describes as an essential show for a cross-section of packaging industry professionals to attend.
Growth of luxury and masstige
This reflects huge growth in the luxury packaging sector, driven by the evolution of the masstige segment, which has seen many leading mass market cosmetic and personal care brands re-positioned as more towards the upper end of the brand spectrum.
Likewise, the luxury end of the fast moving consumer products segment has been largely unaffected by the current economic downtown, which has led to continued momentum within the segment, particularly for cosmetics and personal care.
The organizer says that this momentum has continued to drive interest in the Luxe Pack New York event, and reflecting the growth, it has chosen to expand the exhibition space, the event will take place on the second floor of the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion.
Space for 20 more companies in 2013
This move gives the event a significant boost to the available floor space, in turn allowing the organizers to give space for an extra 20 companies to exhibit at the 2013 event.
Alongside the growth in exhibition space, the event is also predicted to attract a bigger than ever crowd of industry professionals, with predictions put at around 3,000 decision-makers to attend over the two days.
As well as individual stands, the event will also include a comprehensive and dedicated exhibition area to highlight the most significant packaging innovations, together with a detailed conference program that will entail key presentations from industry experts over the course of the two days.
