Innocosmetics event lines up key industry speakers to lift lid on innovation

The Innocosmetics event will open its doors in Berlin this October, aiming to highlight some of the key areas in industry innovation and product development, as well as focusing in on key high growth categories and market trends.

Innocosmetics will be held 6 – 7 October at the Movenpick Hotel in Berlin and aims to bring together senior industry executives and experts for a conference that has been designed to maximize interaction between the speakers and the attendees through brainstorming sessions as well as a series of workshops.

Executives targeted include directors, board members and senior managers from the cosmetics and personal care industry, working in the areas of business development, research and development, new product development, regulatory affairs, marketing and branding, and innovation.

Key industry speakers from Coty, Unilever and Colgate-Palmolive

Event organiser, KGS Global, has already announced a number of key speakers who will give presentations at the event, including Inge Terpstra, Hair Care R&D director Europe Unilever, and Steffen Seifarth, regional vice president for Coty Prestige, Dr. Nora Schroer of Colgate-Palmolive and James Clark, Director, Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence, University of York, together with 11 other speakers.

The programme has been designed to be as encompassing as possible and in doing so takes in a wide variety of topics that touch on all aspects of the industry.

A new chapter begins...

The conference will begin on October 6 will start at 9.15am with a presentation entitled : Entering a new chapter for the global cosmetic and personal care industry, which will be given by Florence Guesnet, director market research, EMEA & India - Estēe Lauder Companies Europe, which will focus on the wider picture for the global cosmetics industry.

Other presentations will be more regional specific, including a presentation entitled : Emerging markets of BRIC: identifying and penetration new growth markets for prestige brands, given by Coty’s Steffen Seifarth, who will focus on how Brazil, Russia, India and China are helping to drive growth in the global industry right now.

Elsewhere in the programme, presentations will be more concentrated on innovation, including one by Brazil company Grupo Boticário entitled Developing innovative products that resonate with consumer aspirations; while Stephanie Wersig, director Marketing for Vichy, Innéov and Roger&Gallet at L’Oreal will give a presentation entitled Brand equity: linking brand’s unique value proposition with product innovation.

Networking opportunities

Other presentation topics will include the luxury market, strategic partnerships with pharmacists, trends incubation, anti-ageing, optimizing product performance through innovation and green cosmetics.

The programme has also been designed to maximize on networking opportunities, with coffee breaks and organized lunches aimed at allowing industry professionals to swap information and contacts.
