Green packaging and private label secrets are high on the agenda of
the educational program at Cosmoprof North America next month.

The trade show will descend on the 15,550 square-meter Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from July 13 to15. The floor space will be divided thematically into four main pavilions covering a broad range of industry segments including packaging, cosmetics and spa products. As well as providing opportunities for networking and deal making on the show floor, attendees can seek out advice and information on the latest trends through the education program. Green packaging One of the educational highlights is a conference entitled "Going Green: Which Sustainable Package Is Right for Your Beauty Brand?" The free workshop will allow manufacturers to learn how to respond to the growing desire for sustainable packaging. For example, John Delfausse, vice president of packaging for Estée Lauder, will look at ways to produce suitable green packaging for each of the company's brands. The executive committee member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition will also describe how the company increased the levels of post-consumer regrind (PCR) in Aveda's packaging to between 80 and 100 percent. Private label secrets One of the other notable conferences is on the secrets of developing a successful private label business. Presented by Private Label Magazine the conference will include practical guides from the design to the selling process for new entrants to the market. Speakers at the conference will include Pam Busiek, President of CBI Laboratories and Carolyn Bojanowski, Director of Brand Marketing for Sephora. Last year Cosmoprof North America attracted 699 exhibiting companies and 25,000 visitors from all over the world.
