Global alliance for prestige packaging

Three luxury packaging firms have announced plans to form an
alliance in an attempt to provide local services in an increasingly
global marketplace.

The group, Global Prestige Packaging, has three members, France-based firm Alliora who specialise in luxury folding cartons, US-based folding carton firm Curtis, and Asia's Utility Print Pack. Together the three companies have a turnover of approximately $160m. Global reach, local service ​ Global Prestige Packaging has been created to cater to the needs of the global luxury packaging industry whilst retaining a local feel. "Think global, act local…We want to ensure our customers a dedicated local oresence coupled with a unified, worldwide offer,"​ explained Don Droppo of Curtis packaging. "We have built this alliance to develop new opportunities, to be close to our customers and offer a new mix of technologies, without losing sight of the importance of a consistent and high-quality service,"​ added Alliora president Thierry Lucereau. The alliance aims to provide a wide range of folding and set up boxes and the latest anti-counterfeiting systems developed and approved by the luxury market, to a global market. In creating the alliance the three companies believe that clients will benefit as new product offerings will benefit from the expertise of the three companies and will enjoy a truly global launch thanks to the global reach of the companies. Furthermore, the reduction in transport distances should reduce the companies' environmental footprints. The alliance is the results of 18 months of searching for the right partners according to Lucerau. Alliora is part of France-based packaging group Ileos, which comprises of six members all specialising in different aspect of prestige packaging.
