Niche becomes even more niche, as the California Cream Perfume
Company taps into a key industry trend with the launch of it first
certified organic fragrance range.

The company, which has carved a name out for itself as a leading provider of cream-based fragrance products, has launched three organic fragrances as part of its nuts brand. The three fragrances include rose de rosée No.3, raspberry des champs No.21 and mandarin friandise No.22 are the latest additions to the company's growing product portfolio, which targets the natural products sector. "Our product development team collaborated with our fragrance supplier in Grass, France," said Mary Johnston, company president. Johnston went on to explain that, in line with the new range's premium positioning, the ingredients that have been sourced are of the highest quality and some of the most expensive on the market - coming it at €500-€1,000 per kilo. However, despite the high cost of the ingredient and the tough exchange, the company is able to market the product for less than $20 a pot, which it says is down to eco-friendly packaging and a simpler formulation. "By avoiding alcohol, water and glass containers we effectively cut a great deal of non-value-add costs from the product and spend our money where we think it belongs, on world-class fragrance oils, while also keeping the retail price very affordable," said Johnston. Likewise the ingredients for the range are also 100 percent ECOCERT certified. The fragrance ingredients account for 20 percent of the cream's overall content, with the addition of organic beeswax and sweet almond oil. The company, which is based in Monarch Beach California and operates as LMCC Enterprises, most recently added six new fragrances to its growing range back in July, including three Asian-themed cream fragrances and three more tropically-themed fragrances. Because it is topically applied rather than being sprayed or dabbed and it does not contain any alcohol, the company believes that its fragrances last longer than conventional products, particularly the finer top notes.
