Canadian health and personal care player restructures
The company says that from this month its retail and private label business, Trillium Health Care Products will be separated from its contract and national brand business, which in turn will reform as
Body Care Innovations Inc.
The new business will operate under the chairmanship of Grant Lawson, with a renewed focus on the North American market for retail and private label personal care.
The company says that its Perth, Ontario production facility, which it says currently manufactures the majority of North America's private label soap bars, will now operate under the Body Care Innovations.
Likewise, the company's newly acquired Brampton, Ontario production facility for liquid soap will also take on the Body Care Innovations name.
This facility has also received significant investment to increase its efficiency and capabilities.
The combined forces of the two production facilities means that under the new business name its liquid and bar soap offerings for the private label are combined under one business operation.
The consolidation of the business name under one roof falls in line with the company's aim to offer a one-stop shop for retailers of private label soaps, that it says will be backed up by new product innovations and broader line ups.
"Body Care will also be expanding its offering to include its nutrition and other wellness and lifestyle products in its capabilities in the near future," said Lawson.
Ultimately, the company says that the renewed focus means that its business operations as a whole are concentrated on personal care and health products for multi-national brand companies.
"This separation of businesses moves Trillium Health Care Products further towards its stated goal of being 'North America's full service contract manufacturer of choice' for value added personal care and health care products," added Lawson.
