The Brazilian company now has facilities in Union, New Jersey; and Cristiane Pacheco has accepted a top job with Chemyunion to ensure improved service for the company’s cosmetic and hair care ingredient clients in the States.

For Cristiane Pacheco it’s a promotion. She’s been with the company since 1998, according to a media release about the New Jersey site and Pacheco’s new role.

Most recently Pacheco was overseeing the company’s R&D team: “She has led Research and Development since 2012 with responsibility for a group of 20 researchers,” notes the release. She’s also a pharmacist, has done post-graduate work in cosmetology, and holds an MBA in business management.

Responsible party

Now, as Chemyunion’s New Business vice president, Pacheco covers three of the company’s business units here in the States.

She’s responsible for the comeceuticals unit, which includes active ingredients for use in skin care formulations; for the life science unit, which is the pharma excipients and nutritional areas of the business; and for the hair and excipients unit, which comprises of course hair care and excipients for use in personal care products.

“I am excited to take up this new challenge in the US” says Pacheco, in the company’s media release. “Over the past few years I have got to know our US customers and partners really well and I look forward to strengthening our relationships.”

Bigger and better

With the new facility, Chemyunion is looking to grow its business in the States. And company executives are certain that Pacheco can facilitate that progress. “Cristiane is a strong and experienced executive and the Board is confident that she can effectively lead the Company to improved growth in the US,” affirms Marcelo Golino, CEO of Chemyunion.

“We've made terrific progress against our priorities in the US and have delivered strong results,” he says.  “But to maintain our momentum, we must accelerate the technical support for our distribution partners in the US and deliver better and faster service to our customers.” And, that’s where Pacheco comes in.
