The online training series is designed to present the basics of color with a particular focus on the use of decorative cosmetics, one of the fastest moving and most innovative categories in the cosmetics business.
The course itself will be divided into two classes, the first tackling fundamental areas such as regulation, while the second part will touch on the specifics of the more advanced areas of the formulation process.
Fundamentals of color cosmetic formulation
The organizers say that discussion during the first part of the course will include the fundamentals of color basics and the general process of selection of color for decorative cosmetics.
This part of the course will also look at international color regulations with a particular emphasis on the US, European and Japanese requirements, including recent developments in these markets.
It will also look at specific aspects of the category that are relevant to formultion specialists, with a particular angle on stability, color space, type of decorative cosmetics and economics.
Option to attend either part of the course
The second part of the course will aim at more advanced parts of the formulation process, with a particular range on additives and how best to specify them.
Although color cosmetic professionals are encouraged to attend both parts of the course, the organizers say that if participants have specific interest in only one part, then they may register for only one session.
For maximum training benefit, participants are encouraged to attend both sessions. However, after careful review of the content, a participant may register for only one session should that specific area of this Color for Cosmetics series match their training needs.
The first part of the course will be broadcast as a live webinar on December 5th at 11am EST, while the second part will be broadcast at December 19th at 11am EST.
