Nicara a recent UK start up skincare company, has launched a new range of spa products, based on natural botanical ingredients. The range is further evidence of the further growth of this small but increasingly popular ingredients group.
Providing the complete salon spa package, the range comprises treatment oils and salts, body creams and exfoliants, shower gels, bath milk and body wraps, providing a range of treatments with different properties.
Each Nicara spa product is made using high quality, natural ingredients, which have been selected for their individual properties and fragrances. The company only uses flower water to produce its products and enriches them with vitamins and moisturisers to soften and re-hydrate the skin. Seaweed is a key ingredient used in the new spa range for its toning, re-mineralising and rejuvenating properties.
Marian Richardson, founder of Nicara explained about the new range which she said, "provides salons with natural, easy to use products for the whole body. Each product has been specially developed to complement and work with one another throughout all the stages of a treatment, to provide maximum benefit to the skin and the ultimate spa experience."
Richardson has been involved in the beauty industry for many years and founded Nicara after developing a successful product for the treatment of her son's eczema.
Nicara's spa products have been developed for the complete range of treatments including firming and hydration. All products are available in salon sizes for treatments and retail sizes enabling customers to continue their treatment at home.
The range includes a Bath and Shower Gel aimed at dry skin types, a Body Soufflé enriched with camomile and and marigold extract, Aloe and Advocado Lotion with added vitamin E and Shea butter, together with a Rosemary Bath & Body Oil and a Firming Body that includes grapefruit, wheatgerm and lemongrass oils.
Key primary ingredients in the spa range are vegetable oils and seaweed, which have both been specially chosen for their individual properties. Vegetable oils contain a number of minerals that are said to help soothe and soften the skin and seaweed contains minerals and trace elements, which are good for healing, hydrating and detoxifying.
Also, the range is made using flower water bases, which contain their own natural essential oils.
"Nicara products are developed from a holistic viewpoint and use natural botanical ingredients with essential oils to provide a treatment that has been designed for the well-being of the entire body and not just for the skin," a company spokeperson said. "Natural ingredients have good healing properties and as they do not contain chemicals, it is also less likely that users will have a reaction to them."
One of the UK's newest skincare companies, Nicara creates natural products, which use high quality natural ingredients. Its products do not contain petro-chemicals, synthetic fragrances or animal bi-products and are not tested on animals.
Although the market for botanical-based ingredients remains extremely small in cosmetics, growth has been rapid from this small base in recent years. Recent research from the Freedonia Group indicates that this segment is likely to experience double digit growth for the foreseeable future, derived from demand for healthier and more natural ingredients.
