MAC tags in on the CC cream trend from Asia

Beauty brand MAC Cosmetics is the latest in a run of cosmetic manufacturers taking up the CC cream trend, with the launch of its new ‘Prep + Prime CC Colour Correct’ range.

The company follows the lead of Bobbi Brown, which launched a range of the multifunctional product at the start of the year.

CC creams are seen as all-purpose skin-tone correcting products, and are in effect tinted moisturizers with added sun protection. The product, which is already a staple of beauty regimes in Asia, is now gaining in popularity in the West.

MAC’s new range comes in a choice of four tones across three products: a loose powder, a compact and a liquid formula.

MAC claims its new product “can even the look of skin tone, reenergize the complexion, neutralize redness or brighten dull skin.”
