Market research firm Global Industry Analysts (GIA) has predicted the global personal care products market to reach $333bn by 2015, driven by increasing product innovations, growing disposable incomes and better market penetration.

In its latest report, Personal Care Products: A Global Outlook, GIA explains the leading global markets for personal care products include North America, Western Europe and few fast developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Skin products are reported to be in high demand in various regions. Favorable demographic changes in the global market are further boosting the skin care market, with the increasing population in the 45+ age group, aiding growth in the anti-aging products market.

Hair care is also driving the market as one of the most competitive segments, and all hair care categories, other than hair spray and home permanents, have experienced a rise in sales.
