Pack Expo 2014 targets cosmetic and personal care packaging
Pack Expo International 2014 will open its doors in Chicago from November 2nd, and its organizer says there will be plenty of technology and product launches geared toward cosmetic packaging professionals.

Owned and produced by US Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI), the three day event will be held at McCormick Place exhibition center and is one of the biggest events for the packaging industry in the world.

“To help cosmetics brand owners, processors, and manufacturers more easily navigate the 1.15 million net square feet of exhibit space and locate the solutions and suppliers they need, Pack Expo International includes industry-specific pavilions and features such as The Brand Zone,” a PMMI spokesperson told Cosmetics Design.

Brand Zone to highlight packaging innovation

The Brand Zone will be located in the North Hall and aims to connect professionals with innovative container technology and materials to make a splash in the retail environment.

This year the zone is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company and will display a wide range of award-winning package designs from a wide variety of consumer industries, worldwide.

The event will also feature the Processing Zone, the Reusable Packaging Pavilion and a number of free educational opportunities that will also be geared up towards cosmetic packaging professionals.

Processing Zone spotlights entire supply chain solutions

The Processing Zone will spotlight innovation in this field that touches on the entire supply chain, including a broad selection of suppliers who target everything from the highly niche to the total systems solutions.

Likewise, the Reusable Packaging Pavilion will focus on every access of recycling and reduction, from reducing waste, cutting shipping costs and protecting goods, to increasing productivity and upping the bottom line.

And on the conference front, there will be a packed program featuring technologies and techniques that will be presented at three different stage locations situated at different points on the show floor.

Look out for brand new technology launches

The event will also feature a number of brand new technology launches, including a focus on multi-application labelers from CDA USA, durable printers with tool-free maintenance from Sato America and liquid filling machines with cutting edge accuracy from Apacks.
