Although there have been a number of supplements that have been marketed as sunscreens over the years, Osmosis Skincare claims that this is one of the first drinkable waters to be marketed with sunscreen properties.
Although still marketed within the supplements category, essentially as a beauty from within product, the Harmonized Water line currently incorporates a total of 20 different products all formulated to have different functions.
Sunscreen with or without tanning effect...
Several touch on beauty, with one product targeting healthier hair and nails, but the range also includes two products targeting sun care, one a UV Neutralizer with a tanning effect, the other without the tanning.
So what’s the technology behind this multifunctional water? According to the company, it is based on nanotechnology that ‘imprints’ frequencies as standing waves on the water molecules, helping to design specific functionality along the way.
This technology means that thousands of frequencies can be ‘stacked’ into one molecule, which has enabled the development team to reverse engineer the frequencies of the water molecules to give the water the most beneficial effects to the body.
Longer sunscreen protection and water-proof
Once the water is ingested, the development team behind the range claims that the imprint on the water molecules means that it will vibrate on the skin in such a way that it can cancel out approximately 97% of the UVA and UVB rays, which gives it an SPF rating of 30.
The formulation enables up to three hours of protection that can be repeated with water top-ups, and furthermore it is also said to provide eye protection and will not wash off in the course of swimming.
The water should be taken approximately one hour before sun exposure and the recommended dose is 2ml – 3ml for each four hours of required sun protection.
