New anti-aging spray taps into inversion temperature technology and plankton

Secret Code DNArescue spray lotion is being marketed as a product that facilitates the skin’s natural ability to resist and prevent cell death and damage that is caused by the sun.

"We began the development process for Secret Code in 2010 to create a product that would address the all-too-prevalent problem of premature aging caused by UV damage,"​ said Deborah Duffey, president and chief product development officer at Kara Vita, a subsidiary of Florida-based Dermazone Solutions.

"This product delivers unprecedented care at the DNA level while providing a unique application experience. This is a huge advance in skin care for people of all ages and skin types."​

Artemia plankton provides a 'DNA shield'​

The product includes Artemia plankton, which comes from mineral lakes in France and has been found to provide a DNA shield thanks to its UVB and UVA cellular absorption, according to clinical studies.

According to the company Artemia contains a chemical compound or nucleotide, tradenamed GP4G, which stores energy, protects DNA and enables the artemia to survive the environmental stress when lake temperatures drop.

The product itself also includes a proprietary blend of antioxidants and adaptogenic exctracts that are said to regulate and optimize skin moisturization, as well as providing anti-wrinkle properties, that are delivered using a delivery system named Lyphazome.

PIT emulsion technology​

Meanwhile, the enhanced moisturization properties are provided by inversion temperature technology (PIT emulsion technology), which gives the lotion extremely small particles that cover a larger surface area, in turn providing enhanced skin absorption and protection.

“Results after only two weeks include a reduction in inflammation, improved skin texture, tone and an allover healthier appearance,”​ Duffey said.
