Jarchem Industries, a New Jersey-based specialty chemical
manufacturer focusing on cosmetic ingredients, has launched a new
line of natural-based butter and oil ingredients for a wide range
of cosmetic applications, including emulsifiers, stabilizers and
functionality.

The Jarplex range includes seven ingredients made from shea butter, mango seed oil and butter, illipe butter and cocoa butter, that are said to have been sourced from raw ingredients worldwide.

The range includes three shea butter ingredients : Jarplex SB35, refined shea butter with crystallization properties; Jarplex SB15, a liquid with high emollient properties; and Jarplex SB45, a soft feel ingredient ideal for enhanced skin feel.

SB35 is said to be ideal for structure for sensitive stick and pencil formulations, while, SB15 is aimed at light feel skin cream formulations such as moisturizers and as a viscosity adjuster for body butters. SB45 is said to provide plenty of functionality for skin care products at the same time as having a softer feel.

Jarchem already produces a range of Amazonian-sourced oils and butters that include, copaiba butter, passion fruit oil, brazilian nut oil and andiroba oil. But added to this established range, the company is now including the shea butter range, as well as the other new oils and butters in the Jarplex range.

It also includes Jarplex MB35, a mango butter with high emolliency and buttery feel that is said to be nourishing and moisturizing; Jarplex MB20, a mango seed oil with similar qualities to the mango butter; and illipe butter, which is said to make a good substitute for cocoa butter.

In fact the range also includes a cocoa butter-based ingredient - Jarplex CB30. This is an all-natural cocoa butter with improved physical properties, including softness, temperature stability and consistency for broad applications. It also offers quick crystallization for improved use in creams, lotions, body butters, deodorants, lipsticks and balms.
