This month has seen a key executive appointment at skin care specialist Arbonne, an executive reshuffle at ingredients provider Presperse and cosmetics lawyer Angela Diesch has joined a new practice.

The US division of Arbonne International has announced the appointment of Joe Wojcik as senior vice president of the company’s international operations with immediate effect.

Wojcik will be responsible for heading up and developing the company’s expanding foreign markets, with a specific focus on increasing the business footprint in new markets, including Poland and Taiwan.

He has 20 years of experience with Arbonne, including international sales, strategic planning and expansion. He also has a successful track record with diverse organizations, much of it specific to the direct sales industry and focused on Asia Pacific operations.

Presperse appoints new CEO

Ingredients provider Presperse has appointed a new president and CEO, Koh Akiyama, who will be replacing outgoing Sumio Hino.

Both Akiyama and Hino are board members of the Japan-based Sumitomo Corporation, which became a major investor in Presperse back in 2007.

In his role Hino has worked to enhance levels of service and quality by strengthening the company’s resources and extending its capabilities. He will now return to Sumitomo’s Tokyo headquarters where he will head up the company’s global cosmetics business.

Akiyama has served as chairman of the board of directors for Presperse and together with his board position at Sumitomo, also holds executive positions at Cosmotec International Especialidades in Brazil and Summit Pharmaceuticals Europe.

Angela Diesch takes on new law practice

Angela Diesch​, who is well known for her legal and regulation expertise concerning the US and global cosmetic and personal care industry, has taken on a new position as a shareholder with Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard.

Diesch moves from her previous position at California-based Greenberg Traurig, where she had developed her law career by specializing in broad-based commercial and class action litigation, as well as labor and employment litigation and counseling.

Diesch will also continue to provide Cosmetics Design with her regular legal updates on regulation and laws pertaining to the cosmetics industry.
