Cosmoprof Las Vegas: Takasago VP discusses the importance of fragrance in branding

Cosmetics Design caught up with Paul Ireland, vice president at Japan-based fragrance specialist Takasago International, who shared his opinions about the importance of fragrance in branding, as well as the constant research and development of new fragrance molecules as a means of maintaining momentum in the industry.

Speaking at the recent Cosmoprof North America event, held in Las Vegas, Ireland discussed his involvement in a roundtable table discussion that was part of the event's conference program, in which he spoke about the essential role that fragrance plays in the psychology and inspiration for many cult cosmetic brands.

He also spoke about the constant need for new fragrance development to meet with ever-demanding consumer requirements for innovative and evocative fragrances that both provide inspiration and mood enhancement.
